Our diversified, decentralized operations in 130 countries and territories demand an approach to building people capability that is customized and highly interactive. We strive to create programs across the world that unlock individual talent, inspire growth in each other and foster both business and personal development.
We call our performance management process “Building People Capability” (BPC). The BPC cycle is year-round coaching through one-on-one discussions between coaches (i.e., our managers) and employees, plus specific times of the year when employees set goals, create an individual development plan and discuss performance results.
We seek to make learning, training and career development opportunities accessible to as many of our employees as possible wherever we operate.
Yum! University is a community of excellence for worldwide learning and development – offering courses and programs designed to build the capability of our employees. Our traditional and virtual classrooms are forums where we build new skills, share best practices, develop relationships and learn across all divisions.

Signature Courses & Programs
Yum! University offeres signature courses and programs that are designed to build leadership capability through coaching experiences and structured learning. These programs are executed globally and provide foundational training for both new leaders and high potential leaders.
Signature courses and electives were established to support the learning strategy, demonstrate best-in-class technology and to address gaps in development.
Our signature courses in 2015 included Achieving Breakthrough Results, Leadership Accel and How We Lead.
